The Office of Early Childhood is proud to offer an open-source curriculum designed for four-year-old preschool classrooms, including public, private, childcare, home care, and Head Start settings. The MS Beginnings: Pre-K curriculum aims to assist preschool teachers in delivering rich, play-based, and developmentally appropriate instruction. When implemented properly, the MS Beginnings: Pre-K program supports the development of social-emotional skills, executive function, language, literacy, math, and vocabulary.
